While the evolving urban landscape focused on eco-friendly transportation has made e-bikes and e-motorcycles a growing trend, the police and military would also like a ride. A lightweight, stealthy and efficient two-wheeler could be quite handy for tactical use. At the recent 2023 Tactical EV Expo in San Diego, FUELL, an innovator in the electric vehicle realm since 2019, unveiled its newest options designed specifically for the unique needs of tactical forces.

Motorcycles have long been a vital tool in military and law enforcement situations, but traditional vehicles also have their downsides. The roaring engine of a standard motorcycle, as well as the fumes that go along with it, limit their use. FUELL’s new Fllow-1T eliminates those concerns while providing tactical forces with a lightweight, high-torque option for various operations.

Designed and made in Wisconsin, designers at the company engineered the Fllow-1T with the future in mind. Along with 750Nm torque and a 50-liter integrated locked storage that is ideal for storing necessary gear without sacrificing aerodynamics, this e-motorcycle has a 10kkWh battery pack that can travel up to 150 miles with a top speed of 85 mph. Its eTraction and launch control allow the bike to reach 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.

Designed to charge in 30 minutes, the Fllow-1T includes an integrated dashboard designed for seamless operations via a smartphone or other device. Whether navigating city streets or on a recon mission, the driver has instant access to vital information, such as charge level, location and navigation.

Operators also get to choose the type of ride they need for the mission at hand. Fllow offers an urban and audacious mode. Urban mode, which is ideal for city streets, optimizes energy usage and provides a longer range, while the audacious mode provides full power to reach high speeds quickly.

FUELL released its Flluid-2S and -3S in September and has beefed up its design with the Flluid-2T and -3T e-bikes. These variations have features that provide military and law enforcement with a purpose-built e-bike manufactured for speed and performance for different types of operations.

An essential component of the Flluid-2T and Flluid-3T is their ultra-long-range batteries, delivering 2000Wh and 1000Wh, respectively, with a max assistance/max speed of 115 and 60 miles. Both have a max speed of 28 mph and predictive algorithms in the gearbox that learn and anticipate pedaling style. This provides smooth, automatic shifting, making it easier to navigate through urban hills or off-road challenging terrain.

Robust yet lightweight options, both of the tactical e-bikes can carry up to 50 pounds of accessories and require minimal maintenance. They also can be controlled via the FUELL smartphone app, which also provides remote lock and unlock, preventive maintenance information, and usage data and statistics.

The company plans to have all three of its tactical options, as well as the commuter-focused Fllow-1S e-bike, available in 2024.
