Ansys SynMatrix Filter software expedites RF filter design workflows

SynMatrix’s radio frequency (RF) filter design platform is now integrated with Ansys’ high-frequency structure simulator (HFSS) to simplify workflows and reduce design time. The software features automatic 3D modeling, yield analysis, computer-aided tuning functions and AI-driven optimization to assist engineers throughout the development cycle. It is intended for aerospace and defense, military, satellite, telecom, radar and automotive radar applications — especially as the demand for 5G/6G communication systems increases.

SynMatrix recently updated the product with fully customizable workflows for low pass microstrip filters, which are critical for signal processing and frequency control in modern communication systems. Users can customize component parameters, automatically generate 3D geometries and run an HFSS simulation directly from SynMatrix.

The software is available for industry customers on the Ansys portal under 2024.R1. It is also accessible to students and educators through the Ansys Academic Program and to qualified participants in the Ansys Startup Program.

Vi-grade hosts the 2024 North American Zero Prototypes Demo Day

Vi-grade is hosting its inaugural North American Zero Prototypes Demo Day at the Multimatic SimCenter in Novi, Michigan, on April 18, 2024. With its Zero Prototypes initiative, the vehicle development solution provider aims to reduce physical prototyping with advanced software, human-centric driving simulators and hardwire-in-the-loop (HIL) technology. During this free event, Vi-grade will present live demonstrations of its full-spectrum simulators (FSS) as well as static, desktop and Dim250 dynamic simulators. Attendees can also use Vi-CarRealTime and Vi-WorldSim software to build and test vehicles. The event is free of charge and open to all those using or interested in using Vi-grade technologies. Registration is required, and attendees can secure demo slots through the event app.

Altair presented the “Science of Possibility” at its recent virtual event

Altair’s Future.Industry 2024 event featured presentations from Forrester, Google, Boeing, Festo, Rolls Royce, Argonne National Laboratory and other top companies and research institutions. The theme was the “Science of Possibility,” and experts discussed trends in simulation, high-performance computing, AI and data analytics. Three of the four tracks centered around AI and how companies leverage it to streamline design, simplify development and stay ahead in the market. A fourth track focused on workforce development and how companies and academia can nurture the next generation of engineers while they are in school and as they enter and progress through the workforce. All presentations are available on demand, and registration is required for each.
